Also, step 6 of part 2 says 'Delete the INFCACHE.1 file.' Even after following your previous instructions, the computer still tells me I need special permission to do this - and won't allow me to delete the file. Hello CAGW Welcome to the forum, Before looking at my answer I would advise you to make sure that all drivers on your PC are up to date I have heard of this problem being caused by the Nvidia Graphic driver conflicting with old USB device drivers. Yes you should uninstall everything, bear in mind that some USB drivers may not be included in Windows and may need to be reinstalled afterwards ie Printer Drivers or in my case I have Renesas USB3 drivers installed.
