I could not remember how you get the new serial number. Sorry, i know this has been covered many times, but i looked in the support section and could not find it. I don't have the new GPO yet, this is the second edition and the kontakt player has been updated 2.24.

GPO activated okay, but I get the error message from the service center that i have the wrong sn for the KP2. I think i recall you have to get a new sn??and i just had a thought, if i have Kontakt 3, should i use that sn?? The KP2 one listed the same S/N as KP3, but KP2 would not register. After a lot of work I finally uninstalled and/or deleted all traces of KP2 and got JABB working under Kontakt 3.5 Is there any reason I should have kept KP2 around?

I also use Finale 07 and 09, and I haven't yet set them up to use Kontakt3, i think they can use Kontakt3 though. The Kontakt Player and the full Kontakt are now merged. The full Kontakt (now Kontakt 4) functions both as the free Kontakt Player and the full Kontakt.

The full Kontakt 4 trial version can be downloaded and installed. When Kontakt 4 is opened, it will detect appropriate installed libraries. Each library should have an 'Activate' button. Clicking on this button should then launch the usual procedure for activating using NI's Service Centre.

I should say that the above, obviously, does not give the full Kontakt 4 functionality but this does then function as the player. Now, for Finale users. Unfortunately, using Kontakt 4 as above, when using Finale's Setup Wizard, will not assign the player nor instruments. This will have to be done manually in Finale's MIDI Setup. Everything should then work as normal.

Although the Setup Wizard will, of course, setup the score, it just won't actually load or assign K4 or the instruments. It is possible to edit the library.txt files in Finale's VST folder so that Setup Wizard will load K4 but, still, not the instruments which will still have to be setup manually.
