Thanks for the very helpful guide! I’ve followed your instructions and installed/unzipped the three required programs (SonicStage, OpenMG, JPCSP).

I’ve copied the ISO file to the required folder and managed to run it. Yet the intro cutscene doesn’t seem to have any sound. The menu does have sound effects though. After I selected “Begin”, the screen goes black and then there’s nothing?

How do I tell the difference between a long wait and the game just hanging/stuck? And do I have to run the other two programs concurrently with JPCSP? Any help you can give will be very appreciated!

Jre

At first it doesn’t work, it kept saying that I don’t have 32 bit Java installed when I do. Then I found this on the forums and followed it and it worked: the version of jre that was available when the emu was released was version 6 the current version is 7, below i explain how to solve the problem you have to right click on the bat file choose the option edit the bat file will open in notepad. Look for “jre6” and change it into “jre7” (you have to correct it twice) click file then save and when you run it now everything should work. It worked, but this time it says that the game isn’t decrypted, while the 64 bit JPCSP _could_ read it (but with the aforementioned problems). The configuration tabs also do not correspond to the 64 bit JPCSP (which looks exactly like the pictures you have here). Instead it only has five: General, Video, Audio, Memory and Misc.

(I’m not sure if all this means that the 64 bit version is a bit more advanced than the 32 bit one or not). Well, this is getting really complicated. I’ll see if I could poke around some more before I give up for the time being and call it a day. © Sakimichi and Adumbrate and Resilent Love, 2011-2014.
