Dec 30, 2017  Today we take a look at a 500 in 1 Nintendo DS cartridge. Let's see what this is. Nintendo DS Game SUPER MARIO 64 DS Cartridge Only 100% TESTED WORKS. Like us on Facebook. 1 of 3 2 of 3 3 of 3 See More. See Details on.

I've bought several ds games that were bootlegs from ebay. While you can't be 100% sure that the game is a bootleg before you buy it, my experience is that all games that I've bought from China or Hong Kong have been bootlegs. Not all sellers from there will give bootlegs, but be sure to be wary of those locations. Check the price (super low price = warning sign), location, and especially the feedback of the person before you buy. Even if the person doesn't have negative feedback, sometimes buyers will put positive feedback because the seller refunded the money. I haven't had any trouble getting refunds for my bootlegs though. Usually they are very apologetic about it and will give you some excuse like they don't get to see the games directly because their suppliers are in charge of it etc.

If there is any implication that the game is from Hong Kong/China etc I'd recommend not bothering just to be safe. If they describe the manual as a 'instructions sheet' or leaflet etc avoid like the plague. This is more for GBA games, but if they say they will flatpack the box that can be a giveaway. Beware of cartridge-only auctions (although many will be legit, I avoid them personally). It helps if there is a real photo of the game as well, particularly if it seems like an ordinary person (rather than a store) selling the game. As sonic0491 mentioned - if it says DS/DS Lite only (ie not DSi), it's guaranteed fake unless its Guitar Hero or something (ie something that requires the GBA slot) I've generally been ok with the DS games I've bought off ebay, but have been stung 2 or 3 times with GBA games - one of which worked, the other two (both huge RPGs) had broken save systems that only worked while the machine was switched on.:-P To Cruse - it isn't always affordable. While supporting developers is great, the only significant way to do so is to buy the games early and at full price.

Doing that regularly is gonna be difficult for some. Also, some games are hard/nigh on impossible to find even in online shops. It's a game store (or even an user) with an incredibly high reputation? Does it look reliable? Does eBay approve the store/user? Does the offer look absurd?

Just take care of such 'details' and you'll be able to do like me and shop DS games on ebay without worrying about anything. Ships from Hong Kong or China. Dead give aways.

JAB991 i always get my shipments from HK because if it ships from the USA, the government throws some stupid import taxes. All my games bought that way are original. You just have to be careful to see if it looks reliable. Your shoes are most likely from china, original or not. Don't say it's fake because it's shipping from china. Photos of the manuals stuff like that, more than likely you will just get ignored if they know they are fake. Also if the price is too good to be true, that is because it is. There's way more than 'little' to prevent it.

You can, for example, research and only buy from reliable sources. And try to buy factory sealed on. I don't think you even read the experience. I don't think you even read the experience. Ujt skimmed through it. Seems like you bought a pirated game. Actually, 3 of them. Actually, 3 of them. K, so what should I have done to prevent it? You said, in enough words, that I could have done research and only buy from reliable sources. It did both of those from the tools I was given. The only thing you had right was the 'factory seal' bit. That is the only way to prevent it at this point IMO. But even then they could have lied about that too.
