Just got a DJ3 via ebay and need to service it up before I install it. 1) Where can I find the manual about how to rebuild this thing? Marzocchi pdf file for the 03 dj3 doesn't have enough info or diagrams. 2) Do I need to get stiffer springs? I am 230 and ride hard. This is my everything bike, I jump etc. But I also ride trails and commute, and even do the occasional triathlon.

Windows xp mode base vhd. I read somewhere that the DJ springs were stiffer than the Z series but still wondering if I need the stiff or Xtra stiff springs. 3) What 'special tools' do I need to break this thing down? And 4) I plan on running 10-15wt oil to speed up the damping what do you think?

Thanks ganze. 2) Do I need to get stiffer springs? I am 230 and ride hard. This is my everything bike, I jump etc. But I also ride trails and commute, and even do the occasional triathlon. The 03 DJ series have air cap on the top or stanchions no need to change the springs, just add air to suit your riding style. I'm 190 and ride with no air on the trail and put 7-8 lbs of air when jump sessions. 4) I plan on running 10-15wt oil to speed up the damping what do you think? I use stock oil in the DJ1 but this model have the SSVF rebound damping with an external adjuster. You should try th factory formulation to begin.
