I spent a couple of days installing various Windows 10 drivers for all the hardware included in my Elitebook 2560p, eventually got it all working properly. So in order to prevent others from wasting time searching for drivers, here is a list of all the stuff needed. Just search google for SPXXXX.exe (XXXX = number from below). Not all of the below are officially listed as 2560p drivers, but they are what I'm running and theyre working perfectly.

Provided links for non-HP stuff as well. Just got a 2560 I5 on the ebay, 'For parts only' Had no memory, no hard disk, no DVD RW, no battery and no charger. After digging in my office junk pile it currently has a 250GB SSD, a DVD RW, a battery, docking station (That one was from a 2570) and a charger. I installed Windows 7 from an HP recovery DVD and the hologram key from the sticker on the back.

I could not find a face plate for the DVD drive nor could I find the installation bracket for it. And I did search for those far and wide. (I am not into buying a 60 bucks DVD for a 2560P that was bought for less.!). I also faced a strange phenomenon. Windows 10 update would not install. It is stuck in 'downloading 0' from the MS web site and complains of a wrong key word, when installed from a windows 10 update DVD (that same DVD has just been used successfully for upgrading an HP 2540P (I7) from Windows 7 Pro that was also installed using HP recovery DVD) Can anyone guide me to a place that may sell the DVD bracket and /or the DVD faceplate for the 2560?

Does anyone have experience with this strange 'Windows 10' upgrade behavior? And if so, is there a work around the problem (as I know the windows 7 on that laptop is legit and the upgrade DVD worked fine with another HP laptop)? Hello, I need to help with recovering/deleting password for BIOS Administrator. Running on Windows 10 Pro 64x. I am only able to boot into HDD.

Others options are disabled in Bios, where I cant go. F50 now, wanted to upgrade, but no chance, It needs current password. I tried some utilities but no progress.

( ) also same with Mazzif's utility(monetized now), because I cant boot from USB. What options do I have please, thank you.

I was lucky to find one for cheap that was in almost mint condition. I am in the process of upgrading it and it will be my Linux machine from now on. A 16gb kit is coming today and I am debating whether I am going to use a 64gb or 250gb SSD.
